About Me

Ever since I was a kid, the two things that have driven me are learning and sharing knowledge. The moment I discovered Data Science, I was hooked. Having a wide array of tools at my disposal to turn incomprehensible binary into digestible visualizations scratched an itch I didn’t know I had. Following these passions led me to Willamette University, where I threw myself into an accelerated Dual Degree Masters in Data Science with a Computer Science double major, and I’ve only thrived since.

My experience led me to the Mickey Leland Energy Fellowship, a highly competitive research organization giving young talent exposure to the Department of Energy through internships with labs across the country. I was hand-picked for a job handling mineral commodity data using scraping, wrangling, and visualization tools between R and Python. At the end of my internship, I was flown in to present my findings at the MLEF Technical Forum in Pittsburgh.

Since then, I’ve aimed to diversify my skills alongside my Masters program. While in school, I’ve been studying for the COMPTIA exams (the IT gold standard), completing a Computer Science major with a focus in the Software Development cycle, and integrating my Data Science skills into every facet of my life. This unique trifecta of hardware, software, and analytics skills enables me to contribute value to any team or project I find myself on.
